This division is also involved in scheduled vessel calls in Brooklyn, New York, New Orleans, Louisiana, and 45 foreign ports. As of December 31, 2013, its fleet consisted of 2 owned and approximately 30 chartered vessels; and dry, refrigerated, and specialized containers and other related equipment. The companys Sugar division grows sugar cane; produces and refines sugar; produces alcohol; and purchases sugar for resale. The companys Power division operates as an independent power producer generating electricity in the Dominican Republic. It operates two floating power generating facilities.
