ROIC Business Profile
Retail Opportunity Investments Corp. is a fully integrated, self-managed real estate investment trust (REIT). The Company specializes in the acquisition, ownership and management of necessity-based community and neighborhood shopping centers in the western region of the United States, anchored by national and regional supermarkets and drugstores. As of December 31, 2012, the Company's portfolio consisted of 44 wholly-owned retail properties totaling approximately 4.4 million square feet of gross leasable area (GLA), and one retail property owned through a joint venture, encompassing approximately 464,000 square feet of GLA. On December 4, 2012, it acquired a shopping center in Cypress, California, located in Orange County. On December 27, 2012, it acquired a shopping center in Redondo Beach, California, within the Los Angeles metropolitan area. On December 27, 2012, the Company acquired a shopping center in Garden Grove, California, in Orange County.
