Blackbaud, Inc., incorporated in March 22, 2004, is a global provider of software and related services designed specifically for nonprofit organizations. Its segments include Enterprise Customer Business Unit (ECBU), General Markets Business Unit (GMBU) and International Business Unit (IBU). It derives revenue from selling perpetual licenses or charging for use of its software products in a hosted environment and providing an offering of services, including consulting, training, installation and implementation, as well as ongoing customer support and maintenance. It also derives revenue from providing hosting services, performing donor prospect research engagements, selling lists of donors, and providing benchmarking studies and data modeling services. Consulting, training and implementation are not essential to functionality of its software products and are sold separately. In May 2012, the Company completed the acquisition of Convio, Inc. The Raiser’s Edge is a software application specifically designed to manage a non-profit organization’s fundraising activity. The Raiser’s Edge enables non-profit organizations to communicate with their constituents, manage fundraising activities, expand their development efforts and make better-informed decisions through its segmentation, analysis and reporting capabilities. The Raiser’s Edge allows an organization to access biographical and demographic information about donors and prospects, process gifts, monitor solicitation activity, analyze data and publish reports. Blackbaud Enterprise CRM (Enterprise CRM) is a constituent relationship management (CRM) solution that addresses the needs of larger nonprofit organizations. Blackbaud Enterprise CRM brings together disparate information, such as annual and capital giving, gift planning, major giving, and alumni and parent systems, across multiple locations and within the departments and programs of a large organization. eTapestry is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) donor management and fundraising solution built specifically for smaller nonprofits. It tracks donors, prospects or alumni, while managing gifts, pledges and payments.
