BUSINESS PROFILE : Sun TV Limited (Sun TV) is a television broadcasting company based in South India. It has a dominant place in South India, especially in the states of Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The company operates twenty TV channels in four different languages of Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. These include THE flagship channel, Sun TV and Malayalam channel, Surya TV. It also operates radio channels under the name of Suryan FM, Visakha FM and S FM. The company, with its many programs and wide database of movies, is famous in regions where there are significant number of Tamil and Malayalam speaking audiences. The company had come up with an IPO in April 2006, through which it was able to raise Rs. 600 crores. Sun TV had posted 42.7% rise in net profit to Rs. 479.60 million for the quarter ended September 2006 compared to Rs. 336.1 million in the corresponding quarter last year. The total income during this period grew by 27.27% to Rs. 1059 million from Rs. 832.10 in the corresponding period.

Even though the M D of Sun TV related to DMK chief he is too far from politics and purely business minded Tycoon. Nobody can come near SUN. The majority of shares belongs to him solely and it is a very good buy before it launches DTH

Some people betting to raj tv, rajtv owns a two chanel only. but suntv has a strong growth and financial ground in all languages for past 15 years. so please careful for rajtv. rajtv is like another teledata so pleas carefull. Buy sun tv at this low level.

suntv is a very good financial positions, board give 1:1 bonus, It is a time for purchase, it go to nearly rs.2000/- no doubt
