FBU Business Profile
Fletcher Building Limited provides building products, construction materials, and services worldwide. The company’s Infrastructure Products division manufactures, distributes, and markets heavy construction materials, including aggregate, cement, concrete, and masonry products; and long steel products, such as wire rod, galvanized wire, and reinforcing bar and coil products made from scrap steel, as well as provides cutting and bending, and on-site placement services. This division also manufactures and supplies plastic pipeline systems to the water infrastructure, irrigation, civil, telecommunications, electrical, and construction sectors; and plumbing, refrigeration, air-conditioning, and medical gas copper tubes. Its Building Products division manufactures a range of building products for residential and commercial markets, such as plasterboard, glasswool insulation, other insulation and acoustic products, metal roof tiles, longrun roofing, and other rolled steel products. The company’s Laminates and Panels division manufactures and distributes decorative surface laminates, component products, particleboard, and medium density fiberboard. Its Distribution division distributes building supplies, plumbing and bathroom products and solutions, and pipes and fittings. The company’s Construction division constructs commercial, retail, health, hospitality, education, and government buildings; undertakes construction projects for governments, aid agencies, religious organizations, and commercial entities; and manages repair works of residential homes due to earthquakes. It is also engaged in home building; river and marine works, energy pipelines, civil structures, and foundation works; and upgrades industrial and utility pipelines. Fletcher Building Limited is also involved in finance, property management, and retail activities. The company was founded in 1909 and is headquartered in Auckland, New Zealand.
