Commodities Group Limited operates as a carbon solutions company in Australia, New Zealand, and Asia. It primarily designs, develops, and manages greenhouse abatement projects. The company’s Carbon Sink Establishment segment establishes forest carbon sinks primarily for domestic and international companies, and state governments. Its Environmental offsets segment provides abatement certificates generated from accredited forest carbon sinks; and trades in environmental credits. The company’s Aquaculture segment develops land-based aquaculture production systems in northern Australia. Its carbon management services include carbon advisory, accounting, forestry, and tax liability services, as well as community benefits and environmental services. Commodities Group Limited also provides environmental or biodiversity offset services; environmental and land management services; and carbon credit risk management and procurement solutions. It manages approximately 26,400 hectares of forest carbon sink plantings in New South Wales, Victoria, and Western Australia. The company serves energy producers and retailers, as well as industrial consumers. The company was formerly known as CO2 Group Limited and changed its name to Commodities Group Limited in March 2014. Commodities Group Limited is based in South Melbourne, Australia.
